About the event
A quintessential tradition in Imbolc is the lighting of candles to symbolise hope and the beginning of lighter days so – yes we know we’re throwing an event on a Sunday evening and you may think us CRAZY – but what better way to stave off those pesky Monday blues than joining us for a candle-lit, cosy celebration of Irish art…!?
Imbolc is an Irish festival, first celebrated at least five millennia ago, which heralds the waning of winter and the impending arrival of spring, brighter days, hope, and renewal. Deeply rooted in Irish history, the festival intertwines with the ancient celebration of Brigid, the Celtic goddess of hearth, poetry, and healing. Around this time, communities would seek Brigid’s guidance in matters of creativity, healing, and protection. So it seems only fitting it’s a night full of creativity and catharsis.
Curious and wanna come but got no one to come…
